Abstract submission is open (oral presentations&nbsp;<strong>until June 24<\/strong>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The congress is the second joint initiative between the Argentine and Brazilian scientific communities in Microfluidics to strengthen the scientific and technological collaboration between the two countries and the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microfluidics is a multidisciplinary scientific and technological area in accelerated development stage with fruitful intercrossed relationship with industry. Prediction and control of the behavior of small volumes of fluids (nanoliter to picoliter) at small scales (nanometers tomicrometers) have allowed successful industrial applications from the inkjet printhead&nbsp; to the present revolutionary development of lab-on-chip and organ-on-a-chip devices in medicine, pharmaceutics, chemistry, biology, physics, &nbsp;biomedical engineering, soil science, food industry,&nbsp; ecology,&nbsp; analysis (chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics, DNA testing, single cell analysis).<em>&nbsp;Advantages of microfluidics applications are:<\/em>&nbsp;precision, control, small volumes, low cost, low energy, fast processes, green-credentials and portability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first joint Brazil-Argentine Microfluidics Congress was organized at PUC-Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2018. The first microfluidics workshop in Brazil was organized in 2011 whereas the corresponding first argentine congress was held in 2014.&nbsp;The goal of this edition is to bring together&nbsp; researchers, engineers, students, both from&nbsp; academia and industry, to showcase&nbsp; the most recent innovations in the field,&nbsp; to discuss future directions in microfluidics technologies and their applications,&nbsp; and to involve a growing number of participants in the region.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/microfluidics2019\/topics?authuser=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The topics<\/a>&nbsp;will be wide-ranging, from experiments and theory on microfluidic devices&nbsp; to visualization and instrumentation,&nbsp;&nbsp;3D printing,&nbsp; techniques and materials for microfabrication, with the persistently extending scope of applications&nbsp; of the microfluidics field.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You are invited to register and submit now !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For more information, please visit the congress webpage:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfarg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.mfarg.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We highly appreciate your help advertising the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking forward to meet you soon in C\u00f3rdoba,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Dr. Ver\u00f3nica I.
